NOTE: The  Custom Fields do not have to be populated NOR does the document need an  Entity Relationship to split a document, but in some cases, you may want to ensure these fields are populated. The need to include these fields depends on your business' unique requirements and document workflow.

With a document open in DIA, click the Split button in the Properties panel.

There are three attribute sections in the Split Document Screen:

1. Pages to Split
2. Split Type
3. Document and Entity Fields
